Dr. Fiona Dyshniku, C. Psych.
Registered Clinical and Forensic/Correctional Psychologist
M.A., Ph.D.
Maybe you’ve tried to get help before, but it just wasn’t the right time or the right fit. Or maybe this is your first time considering therapy, but taking that first step just seems like the most terrifying and vulnerable thing to do.

I profoundly believe that every person is an expert on themselves. My expertise is in using an integrative person-centered approach to understand the person and their difficulties, and then collaboratively tailor services.

I value establishing a strong therapeutic alliance above all, as the seed of any important work. To this end, my grounding is primarily in Emotion-Focused Therapy, but I draw heavily from other therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT) to facilitate core change processes.
