About Megan

Megan is a Registered Dietitian with over five years of experience in the field. Their background includes providing care in structured residential programs and more flexible outpatient environments. They hold a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Rhode Island and has consulted in diverse healthcare settings, including supervising other dietitians. Their interest in the intersection of nutrition and mental health developed through clinical experience:

Megan brings their expertise to support clients navigating a variety of nutrition-related concerns, including disordered eating patterns, weight-related challenges, and mood disruptions linked to food.

Nutrition Philosophy

Megan offers inclusive, trauma-informed nutrition counselling and integrates seamlessly with mental health care when needed. They approach their work through a Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned lens, focusing on behavioural change and body respect rather than solely weight-based outcomes.

Megan places a strong emphasis on collaboration, identity-informed care, and curiosity. Their work is grounded in principles of safety, autonomy, and transparency, and they often draw on intuitive eating principles, mindfulness strategies, and CBT-based tools to support clients in reconnecting with hunger, fullness, and food satisfaction cues.

What to Expect

Clients meeting with Megan can expect a personalized and collaborative approach. In the Initial Session, they typically review medical history, current eating patterns, and any immediate concerns.
Follow-up sessions are flexible in frequency and focus, evolving based on client needs, progress, and ongoing challenges. Over time, clients working with Megan might aim to reduce food anxiety and guilt, increase variety and consistency in meals, or shift from rigid food rules toward a more intuitive and confident relationship with eating.

Megan welcomes anyone who may feel stuck in unhelpful eating patterns, experiencing food guilt, or finding mealtimes overwhelming, and looks forward to helping clients find trust within their own bodies.
