Dr. Geris Serran is a registered clinical and forensic psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2003 and brings over 20 years of expertise to her work.
Dr. Serran has dedicated her career to addressing complex psychological needs, with a focus on sexual behaviour issues, trauma, and the therapeutic process. Her approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes mindfulness and living in alignment with one’s values to foster meaningful change.
An experienced supervisor and trainer, Dr. Serran is also certified in risk assessment tools such as the Static-99R, STABLE-2007, and ACUTE-2007. She regularly provides training in these areas and has co-authored the book Rehabilitating Sexual Offenders: A Strength-Based Approach, highlighting her commitment to evidence-based practices and the potential for growth and transformation.
At Centre Wellness in Kingston, Ontario, Dr. Serran primarily provides supervision and consultation to psychotherapists, sharing her depth of knowledge and helping them refine their clinical skills.
